Fr. Marco Ortiz
is a diocesan priest of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. Ordained in 2000 and has served in several parishes and currently is the Pastor of St. Robert Bellarmine in Burbank, CA. Fr. Ortiz has a Licentia in Practical Theology and has published many Spanish devotional booklets. His background includes pastoral experiences from many parishes that has enriched his ministry as a priest. He hopes to bring to Mass Intentions Online the support to continue serving God’s people at the parish level.
Fr. George Schommer, O.P.
is a friar in the Order of Preachers (the Dominicans). Ordained in 1994, he has served as parochial vicar and pastor in various cities around the country. He has also been an itinerant preacher of parish missions and retreats; and served in various financial and administrative positions within his Dominican community. He joined the board of Mass Intentions Online with firsthand experience of using the software and developing a new module in collaboration with the software team. He looks forward to supporting and advocating for the use of the suite of programs in parishes around the country.
Fr. Garry Welsh
Pastor St Anthony of Padua San Antonio Florida
Born in Birmingham UK in 1967 to Scottish parents grew up in Ireland, went to the Christian Brothers Schools through High school then Studied Philosophy and Arts at St Patrick’s Pontifical university, Maynooth Co Kildare for St Patrick’s missionary society, joined the workforce as a retail manager for Local stores Trading , worked for them for several years before Joining Allied Beer brands as a sales representative, after a few years I returned to Study Theology at St Peters College Wexford and then St Johns College Waterford, finishing my Masters at Kendrick Glennon St Louis MO. In 2001, I was ordained for the Archdiocese of Omaha, appointed as assistant pastor at St Stephen the Martyr Omaha, then Holy Trinity Hartington NE, and then St Columbkille Papillion Ne before being appointed Pastor at Sacred Heart Parish Boyd Co NE, then pastor St Lugerus Creighton NE, St Phillip Neri Omaha NE. In 2013 I moved to Florida to the Diocese of St Petersburg on loan, I served at Our Lady of the Rosary Land of Lakes FL and St John Vianney St Pete Beach Fl before being appointed pastor of St Anthony of Padua San Antonio FL a fast growing parish north of Tampa. I was incardinated into the diocese of St Petersburg in 2016.
Fr. George Corrigan, OFM
Fr. George is a Franciscan friar serving as a parochial vicar at St. Francis of Assisi in Triangle/Quantico, VA. Previously he was pastor at Sacred Heart in Tampa, FL for many years. Fr George is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy and served onboard nuclear submarines. Between his naval service and joining the Franciscans, Fr. George worked in the information technology sector in support of electric utilities and mobile phone telecommunications in the development of operational software and high speed data communications. Fr. George has firsthand experience in using MIO software.
Father Michael Gelfant
is a priest for the Diocese of Brooklyn, NY and was ordained in 2005. Prior to ordination he worked as an administrator of a major NY hospital. His undergrad studies also where in Computer Science and Business Administration specifically Corporation Restructuring and Organization. Father has served as a pastor since 2010. Currently he serves in Blessed Trinity Parish, Breezy Point, a three-church merged parish since 2020. Since becoming a pastor, Father has always looked for ways to simplify repetitive actions while introducing the power of technology as a way to reduce the burden of administrative work from ministry.
Father Gelfant also serves as New York State Chaplain to the Knights of Columbus, Diocesan Liaison to the Knights of Columbus and is the Charter Grand Knight of two NY Councils and is a Fourth degree Knight. He is a member of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre with the rank of Knight Commander. He also is a Board Member for the HeartShare School; The Casey Foundation; Ozanam Nursing Home; and St. Francis deSales Catholic Academy. He is the President and CEO of Caring Knights, Inc., an organization that responds to natural disasters and helps local families in need.
Fr. Matt Hartley
Fr. Matt Hartley is a diocesan priest of the Archdiocese of Denver. Ordained in 2006, has served in several parishes and is currently a Parochial Vicar at St. Thomas More in Centennial, CO. Fr. Matt has a degree in Computer Information Systems and worked as a programmer and network analyst for several years before entering seminary. His large parish has been using nearly all of the features of MIO and he is always looking for new ways MIO can save his parish and others time.
Steven Alessi
Graduated University of Hartford in 1981 with a BS in accounting with a minor in Business Administration. Worked for a local CPA firm after graduation for several years. Then a window manufacturing company as controller in charge of all the firms accounting functions. From there to a large local law firm as controller before starting his own accounting practice in 1993 specializing in small business and taxes.
